From the [https://infrared-transcripts.pages.dev/en/kick/infrared/38f06028-e353-4f38-aa84-ddc64909240c/ MAGA Communism stream], Haz traces Dugin's trajectory: from 1980s neo-Nazism ("he rejected Nazi Germany and Mussolini's Italy always" — the "super-fascist" phase), through Pamyat's antisemitic ultra-nationalism, to contact with the European New Right as the USSR collapsed — which shaped the Fourth Political Theory.

But Haz complicates the standard narrative with Dugin's own 2004 article on the European right: Dugin found them wanting — "a bunch of misfits incapable of original thinking or deeds... they whine and squabble over trivia and grumble at a world they don't understand and are pathologically afraid of" — even rating the Red Brigades "a hundred times more attractive than the majority of these European traditionalists." The point: the picture of Dugin-as-NRx-disciple is one-sided; his relationship to the New Right was disappointment as much as inheritance.

== The standing critique ==
The Nouvelle Droite's method — metapolitics, ethnopluralism, anti-Americanism without class analysis — remains what Infrared rejects: anti-liberalism that never names capital as class relation. Where the New Right replaces class with culture, Infrared insists on nation-as-form, class-as-content ([[Dugin]], [[Arktos Media]]).
