Tawhid (توحيد) — the absolute oneness of Allah: not mere monotheism but exclusive sovereignty — no partner, no rival, no autonomous power beside God.
All human authority derivative and accountable. Its social content: the ummah as one community of submission to objective order; zakat and the prohibition of riba as economic structure, not personal piety. Its opposite, shirk (associating partners with God), reads in Infrared as the structure of idolatry generally — the market, the sovereign individual, capital itself.
