If we examine Ali's actions in the distribution of wealth, and what he added to the measures introduced by Umar ibn al-Khattab, we find that he never laid hands on the fortunes already accumulated by supporters of Uthman' s regime. He never had even an hour free to redistribute existing wealth or lay the foundations of a new economic system.
What he could do was distribute whatever entered the public treasury immediately among the Muslims. He kept none of it from them. It is even reported that he distributed thread and needles. He took particular pride in sweeping out the treasury, sprinkling its floor with water after emptying it, and then praying two rak'ahs there.
In this he was applying the principle of the Islamic left that he himself had expressed to Umar ibn al-Khattab, and that Abu Dharr later expressed to Uthman and Muawiya: the money belonged to the Muslims. It was their right and should be distributed among them. It was not to be withheld from them, nor could some claim it for themselves while others were deprived.
Islam | But the right knew how far Ali ibn Abi Talib intended to go. They knew his understanding of property—or more precisely, what he believed Islam' s understanding of property to be. He had argued the matter repeatedly with Uthman, as had his supporters, including Ammar and Abu Dharr. They maintained that a Muslim had no right to wealth except what came from the work of his own hands, not from the labour of others. Beyond that, a Muslim should not store up more than he and his family needed. Islam had attacked hoarding with exceptional severity. They often repeated the Qur' anic verse: "Those who hoard gold and silver and do not spend it in the way of God—give them news of a painful punishment," and so on. Any surplus wealth, anything beyond a person's needs, should pass to other Muslims who were in need. You must not eat your fill while your neighbour goes hungry, or clothe yourself while your neighbour is naked. By the same principle, you should not live in the luxury of a palace while your Muslim neighbour sleeps in the open or shelters in a collapsing house. Wealth should be distributed among the Muslims until everyone' s needs are met. In the final analysis, wealth belongs to the Muslim community, and all the riches of the earth are God's gift to humanity. The caliph manages them with the agreement and by the authority of the Muslims, for the benefit of them all.
These three simple principles contained the whole of their socialist philosophy. At the same time, they explain the threat Ali' s rule posed to those who had become enormously rich and had hoarded the gold and silver against which the Qur' an warned them—the wealth they had been told would one day be heated and used to brand their foreheads and backs.
The right knew that these were Ali' s principles and that, sooner or later, he would apply them. They also knew that he would enforce the Prophet' s practice of equality in rights: that an Arab had no superiority over a non-Arab, nor a white man over a black man, except through piety; that no man, however exalted his position, had the right to monopolise the affairs of the Muslims, for their affairs were to be decided through consultation among them; that there was equal retaliation in matters of life and death; and all the other noble principles of Islam that, alongside social justice, protected freedom, dignity, security, and peace of mind.

Islam was originally communist,[1] but in its secular degeneration, "mainstream Islam has lost all revolutionary potential"[2] (much like Christianity). Therefore, a goal of Infrared is to create "a new dialogue between Islam and Marxism".[2]
Islam is based on one monotheistic God (Arabic: Allah) and the legacy of the Prophet Muhammad, whose words and actions are recorded in the perfect Qur'an and imperfect hadiths. Islam is divided between two main sects:
- Sunni Islam, comprising the majority and including most Arabs, such as the Saudi and Gulf royal families;
- and Shia Islam, based and holding power in Iran.
Across the two runs the Sufi school of mysticism.
In short, Shia Islam upholds the divine authority of Prophet's family (Ahlul Bayt), because the Quran states they will be purified by Allah (God). Shia regards Ali ibn Abi Talib as the first Imam (a scholar entrusted with interpreting Islam). Moreover, Sunni upholds the full divinity of two books of hadiths, Sahih al-Bukhari and Sahih Muslim, (together called the Sahihayn,) while Shia considers all books of hadiths flawed due to human interference.
The Prophet Muhammad
The Prophet led by example (sunna), not by strict, idealist rules: "When Prophet Muhammad attempted to guide people on how to live, that was not some made-up second-hand concept [called ethics]... He guided people directly through inspiration based on his virtues, his actions, him as a role model."[3] (Haz has advocated likewise to hold moral authority by example rather than strict guidelines - see Infrawoke.)
The caliphate
Haz: "Originally, Islam was a revolutionary-military movement which sought to wipe out usury from the face of the Earth. This was the politico-military continuation of early Christianity. In the Quran, the only sin God declares WAR against explicitly is usury."[4]
Communism Is Islam
- Tawhid - absolute divine sovereignty - relativizes all earthly powers, including market idolatry. (See also Jesus Christ on Mammon.)
- Islam banned usury (riba), an unproductive tool of finance capital. The caliphate was a socialist empire (see Asiatic mode of production, see also Communism#Communism as a process, not a button).
- Islam used zakat, a tax on believers, to support the poor and the state.
- Islam did not try to forcefully convert nonbelievers, but used the Islamic model as a reward inducing them to join. Nonbelievers had to pay the jizya tax instead of zakat, but did not enjoy the benefits of zakat. Similarly, Stalin did not support forced collectivization, but materially aided the collective peasantry.
- The Quran says, "Allah is the best planner." This asserts the inevitability of Islam, in the same way that communism is inevitable, as the true cosmic order (see cosmism).
- Both Marxism and Shia Islam face the problem of revisionists distorting the true revelations of the Prophet. See below...
Shia Islam
"How can you say Islam and Marxism are compatible? They're NOT compatible — they're the same thing... The original revelation of Islam associated with the Prophet Muhammad was revealed in one generation. Then following this generation you had the immediate fitna — the split between Shia and Sunni — where the betrayal of the prophet's family called into question... the ability to properly transmit the word of the prophet across generations."[5]
Haz on Shia mourning: "Shi’ism is a religion of mourning - acceptance of the fact that this world is fundamentally unjust. Mourning, in some sense, not just ahlul bayt, but the soul of humanity itself. [...] Shi’ism is not only about avenging ahlul bayt, but accepting that the betrayal against them has existential and cosmological significance - which you must accept and make peace with."[6]
Ali's socialism
Source: Library:Right and Left in Islam
But the right knew how far Ali ibn Abi Talib intended to go.
Sufism
Sufi is a mystical, intensely faithful movement across both Shia and Sunni.
The Sufi register (COMMUNISM WINNING | INFRAWOKE stream): the moral substance Infrawoke demands "presupposes having passed through the stage of the luminous black" (nur al-aswad, the Ishraqi school) — "a complete annihilation of the ego, and an embrace of the Jesus of one's being, in the deepest part of your heart... a complete absence of apparent light."
Sufi mystics played a major role in the development of Sikhi by conversing with Guru Nanak, the first Sikh prophet.
Islam today
Haz:
The Islamic world will not fight for Palestine because they do not want to lose labubu, Dubai chocolate, matcha, and other pinnacles of decadent sedentary civilization. "Mainstream Islam has lost all revolutionary potential. There must be a new dialogue between Islam and Marxism, based on various forgotten 'heretical' traditions, Sufi and mystical lineages, Qizilbash and Alevis." [2]
Shia today
Shia Islam seized state power in the Islamic Revolution of Iran, thus it is now led by Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei. Shia Muslims are active in revolutionary movements in Yemen (Houthis), Lebanon (Hezbollah), and Bahrain, where they struck the US military base during the Israel-Iran War.
Haz interprets Shia mourning (see above) as revolutionary: "When you are at peace, ontologically, with the injustice of being - only then does it become possible to wage war upon injustice in the world."[6]
Salafi
Salafi is a right-wing fascist tendency of Sunni Islam. In name, it refers to emulating the first three generations of Islam (the salaf). However, the most prominent Salafis do not really uphold tradition but preach ultra-reactionary social values and oppression of nonbelievers, unlike the Prophet Muhammad.
ISIS and al-Qaeda for example are Salafis, funded by Saudi Arabia, Israel and the CIA to kill workers and socialists and pretend to fight the US military in order to justify US occupation of the Middle East.
The most prominent Salafi tendency is Wahhabi, the school of the 18th century Hanbali scholar al-Wahhab, which is the official ideology of Saudi Arabia and a major influence on the aforementioned terrorists.
Islam in America
Islam in the West is becoming a scapegoat for the new fascists - the Green Scare.
Yet Haz predicts Islam will be reborn in America:
Islam will not be imported to America.
Muslim immigrants are a largely unremarkable ethnocentric minority.
Islam will itself be reborn in America. Malcolm X + Mormons are proof of this. [7]
Further information
Haz has talked about the relationship between Islam and Dialectical Materialism, Marxism's Monotheism, Islam's Premature Modernity & Apocalypse, Islam's Universalism and Awakening, Hezbollah’s ‘Angelic Materialism’ and The Islamic Revolution. Haz views "Londonistani" Islam as a reactionary response to the chaos of western modernity, not an authentic expression of Islamic civilisation. (1:33:52)
