The 2022 American railroad strike was a series of strike action protests in the United States (US) against poor working conditions in the railroad industry. The protests lasted from February 2022 until December 2, 2022, when President of the United States (POTUS) Joe Biden enabled political persecution to crush the strike.[1][2] The destruction of the strike and subsequent failure to improve the railroad industry resulted in the East Palestine Train Disaster.[3]
The Make America Great Again (MAGA) movement was largely supportive of the strike, while the Democratic Party expressed public hostility. Haz Al-Din of Infrared, known as the founder of MAGA Communism, endorsed the strike.[4]
Legacy
In April 2023, Joe Biden posted on Twitter that he was the most "pro-union" POTUS in American history. The post was widely criticzed due to his persecution of the railroad strike, with Community Notes going as far as to label the post as "misinformation."[5]
