The ultra-left (or ultras) is a faction of the Synthetic Left consisting of revisionist Marxist-Leninist ideologies, primarily Marxism-Leninism-Maoism, Hoxhaism and Trotskyism.

Dogmatic revisionism

Hoxhaism dogmatically upholds Stalinism against the necessary adaptations of Dengism to the world conditions. Stalinism was never an eternal formula, but also an adaptation to specific conditions.

"Marxism-Leninism-Maoism", an ideology formulated by Chairman Gonzalo, likewise dogmatically opposes Dengism, but has some new ideas it claims to draw from Mao. It attempts to universalize the Protracted People's War. However, this is also a mistake, since the PPW worked in semi-feudal conditions, and has not worked for any MLMs since (namely Gonzalo's Shining Path, the Filipino Maoists, and the Naxalites).

Other ultra-leftists identify as Marxist-Leninists but oppose Dengism dogmatically.
