Cybersyn — and the "fully automated cybernetic communism" current — gets Haz's qualified critique: right on technology, wrong on politics.

The position
Computers, AI, planning belong to the same historical arc as communism ("one historical force," same stream). But technology cannot substitute for mass political process: the Cultural Revolution and Stakhanovite movement were about elevating the masses into command, not optimizing allocation from above. Cybernetic socialism without mass subjectivity is technocracy with red flags (State, Economic Calculation Problem).
