Insomnia is both Haz Al-Din's documented sleep deprivation and its transformation into movement mythology.

The lore

  • Haz on air: "I have a lot of energy because I slept last night for the first time in many days. If you don't know, I'm a chronic insomniac. Why? Because I have to be nerfed in some way by the CIA. They nerfed me. Because when I have full arrest, I become a fucking machine... unlimited energy, unlimited swag, unlimited aura, unlimited willpower." (IRAN MOGGING stream)
  • Origin myth, told in TikTok-recap style: "it all started in the year twenty twenty when I finally got insomnia, decided to go live" (HASAN PIKER CIVIL WAR | 24hr SUBATHON stream) — the channel itself founded on sleepless nights.
  • "Operation Insomnia" as the name for marathon organizing/push phases ("No sleep, no sleepover") (RED PILL NEWS).

Significance

The insomnia lore encodes the movement's work ethic: world-historical ambition sustained through the night shift — multi-hour debates, dawn-breaking marathons, the 24-hour subathons. It is the biographical kernel of Infrared's Promethean self-image (Ma Lie, Infrawoke).
