Scott Ritter, Waging Peace book
""Scott Ritter appears in Infrared streams in a critical register — Haz mocking the way Ritter is heroized by parts of the right.
From the COMMUNISM WINNING | INFRAWOKE stream
Riffing on Caleb Maupin's rally aesthetics — the white suit, the megaphone, the crowd of seniors in blue shirts:
> "They're making it seem like he's a hero... 'Scott Ritter, Scott Ritter!' I mean, they're making it seem like this guy is heroic. Scott Ritter always lies all the time. He's always just bullshitting all the time... Imagine: a room with 12 senior citizens, told to wear blue shirts, and you wear the white outfit..."
The nuance
Haz's critique here is of the hero-worship economy of alt-media — retired officials repackaged as oracle-figures — not necessarily a rejection of Ritter's Iraq-inspection record itself. The lesson Haz draws elsewhere (the laptop, Douma, OPCW) stands on documents and physical evidence, not on authority-figures of either establishment or anti-establishment variety (OPCW, Bread and Circuses).
