European New Right
The European New Right is the metapolitics crowd — Alain de Benoist, GRECE, ethnopluralism, the "battle of ideas" — and in Infrared discourse it mostly appears through Haz's treatment of Dugin, who passed through it and came out unimpressed.

Tracing Dugin's trajectory: 80s "super-fascist" phase (rejecting Nazi Germany and Mussolini as capitalist-controlled), then Pamyat, then contact with the European New Right as the USSR collapsed. But Dugin's own 2004 verdict on them: "a bunch of misfits incapable of original thinking or deeds... they whine and squabble over trivia and grumble at a world they don't understand and are pathologically afraid of" — and he rated the Red Brigades "a hundred times more attractive than the majority of these European traditionalists."
The standing critique
The New Right's whole method — metapolitics, ethnopluralism, anti-Americanism — has one constitutive evasion: capital is never named as class relation. "The market" and "the system" get criticized in the abstract while the actual social relations of exploitation stay intact, and culture-war substitutes for class struggle. Where the New Right replaces class with race, this movement keeps nation as the form and class as the content (Curtis Yarvin, Nazi-Maoism).
