Linguistics

Linguistics is the study of language, on which Stalin wrote Marxism and Problems in Linguistics. Stalin pointed out language is not part of the superstructure, because it is not used by a single class, but is common to the whole society.

In this work Stalin affirmed the freedom of science to develop in pursuit of the truth, against a tyrannical Arakcheyevshchina (Arakcheyev regime). This disproves the myth that he imposed Lysenkoism by force.
