George Galloway (b. 1954) is a British politician, broadcaster, and anti-imperialist campaigner. Formerly a Labour MP (1987–2005, expelled over his opposition to the Iraq war), Respect Party MP for Bradford West (2012–2015), and since 2024 leader of the Workers Party GB, winning the Rochdale by-election in February 2024.

Politics

  • Iconic anti-war record: testimony to the US Senate in 2005 ("I am not now, nor have I ever been..."), opposition to Iraq, Afghanistan, and NATO expansion.
  • Pro-Palestinian activism spanning decades; support for the Axis of Resistance.
  • Economically left: nationalization, anti-austerity — combined with socially conservative positions (opposition to wokeness, defense of family) placing him in the Left-Conservatism current.
  • Broadcaster: TalkRadio/Punchline shows reaching large audiences outside the corporate media.

Relation to Infrared

Galloway is covered as a leading figure of the global patriotic-left; his fusion of socialism, anti-imperialism, and social conservatism parallels the MAGA Communist line in America.
