Strasserism
Strasserism denotes the left-leaning tendency within early National Socialism associated with Gregor and Otto Strasser, which emphasized anti-capitalist rhetoric, workers' councils rhetoric, and nationalization demands against Hitler's alliance with heavy industry.
History
- Gregor Strasser was the NSDAP's organizational genius; his 1925/26 draft program pushed anti-capitalist planks. He was murdered in the Night of the Long Knives (1934) as Hitler consolidated ties with industrialists and the army.
- Otto Strasser fled, founding the "Black Front" and writing in exile against both Hitler and Stalin.

Marxist analysis treats Strasserism as the classic case of national "socialism" that resolves capitalism's crisis by scapegoating Jews and foreign nations instead of abolishing capital — anti-finance-capital rhetoric functioning as antisemitic misdirection. The concept matters today for analyzing red-brown syncretism done wrong: patriotism fused to socialism must break with racialism or it becomes this.
