World Land Bridge
The World Land Bridge is the concept — promoted by Lyndon LaRouche and his movement, and discussed in Infrared discourse — of uniting the continents by rail and infrastructure corridors: Bering Strait tunnel linking the Americas to Eurasia via Russia, the Belt and Road Initiative corridors across Asia, tunnels to Africa via Sinai/Gibraltar, and South American integration.
Vision
- High-speed rail and freight corridors replacing sea-lane dependence; development corridors with power, water (North American Water and Power Alliance), and industry, not just tracks.
- Geopolitical logic: physical-economic integration makes war between great powers irrational; the "land bridge" dissolves the island-sea-power strategy (Mackinder/Spykman) that has organized Anglo hegemony.
- The Bering Strait crossing — proposed since the 19th century, seriously studied in Soviet and American engineering literature — is the keystone.
Infrared usage
Haz Al-Din presents the World Land Bridge as the positive program corresponding to the multipolar transition: China's BRI is its partial realization; American participation (rather than containment) would be the content of a genuinely patriotic US foreign policy — the "patriotic" alternative to empire.
