Red Yurt
Red Yurt is Haz Al-Din's running gag-bit about building a new American capital: instead of the White House, an 80,000-foot yurt palace in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado.
The bit
On the WAR stream, asked how he'd make America better — run for office? revolution? — Haz answered: neither. Build a new capital in Colorado:
> "Instead of the White House, we're going to have the red yurt. The yurt is a tent from Turco-Mongolia from the steppe. It's going to be 80,000 feet when it's fully completed... And I'm going to directly call out the White House and say, we're the real capital of this nation, you aren't."
The bit escalates in classic Haz fashion: Netflix is "also getting absorbed by the red yurt," and every documentary, TV show and movie will feature him as main character, side character, villain, and protagonist alike.
Why it lands
Underneath the absurdity is a real point Haz makes seriously elsewhere: legitimacy is optics and centrality, not paperwork. The yurt bit mocks both liberal proceduralism (the capital as a building you inherit) and the online-left's refusal to think about power at all — while nodding to the steppe/Mongol imagery that runs through Infrared's aesthetic (Khan persona, the yurt itself).
