Jiang Qing
Appearance
Jiang Qing was the ultra-leftist wife of Mao Zedong. As a member of the Politburo of the Communist Party of China, she played a major role in the Cultural Revolution.
After Mao's death, Hua Guofeng took power, ending the Cultural Revolution with the arrest, trial and conviction of Jiang Qing and her ultra-left associates (the Gang of Four) for corruption. With Jiang Qing removed, the centrist Hua Guofeng gave way to Deng Xiaoping taking power. Jiang Qing was driven mad by the Reform and Opening Up and committed suicide in prison.
