Sharia
Sharia (شريعة, "the way") — Islamic sacred law as law of moral order against law as liberal contract.
Not a "code" but the totality of divinely-ordained guidance — worship, transactions, family — with fiqh (jurisprudence) as plural human interpretation across schools. Its economic core is anti-usurious: riba prohibited, zakat obligatory, risk-sharing over rent-extraction — finance subordinated to social ends (institutionalized by the Ottoman Empire).
In the Communism is Islam complex, sharia demonstrates that a civilization organized itself for centuries on non-liberal, non-capitalist law — planned markets, price regulation, moral economy — and that colonial destruction of this order (Islam "reformed" into private religion) was part of the same process that destroyed every other organic social order. Neither "sharia takeover" nor liberal tolerance: recognition of sharia as law of the objective order, kin to what communism seeks in planned moral economy (Tawhid, Jihad).
