Abrahamism

From InfraWiki
(Redirected from Abrahamic)

Abrahamism is an umbrella term for Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. This article discusses the Old Testament common to all of them.

Some prophets of these religions were Abraham (Ibrahim) and Moses.

From the streams

"Jesus didn't compel anyone by force. None of the Bolsheviks were compelled by force. None of the followers of Genghis Khan in the beginning were compelled by force. None of the followers of Moses were compelled by force. They were compelled by faith."[1]

Against the Hegelian identification of God with Mind:

"Hegel's view is that everything is a manifestation of the mind of God... but his god is the god of philosophy, which is a pagan god, not the God of Abraham, which is a Saturnian kind of God of Revelation."[2]
