InfraWiki ("the wiki", "we") is a community encyclopedia. This page explains what information is involved when you use infrawiki.us.

What we collect

  • Usage analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 to understand aggregate traffic (pages viewed, approximate location, device type, and similar). Analytics cookies may be set by Google.
  • Accounts. If you request or create an account, MediaWiki stores the username, email address you provide, password hash, preferences, watchlists, and contribution history. Account requests may also include a short statement you write when applying.
  • Technical logs. Like most websites, the hosting and security layers may record IP addresses, user-agent strings, and timestamps for spam control, abuse investigation, and reliability. Tools such as CheckUser may be used by trusted functionaries under wiki policy when investigating abuse.
  • Edits and uploads. Text and media you contribute are stored on the wiki and are generally public, including under the username (or IP, for unregistered edits) associated with the change.
  • Cookies. Logged-in sessions use MediaWiki session cookies. Analytics may set additional cookies as noted above.

Third-party services

  • Google Analytics — traffic measurement (property configured for this site).
  • Hosting and CDN — the site is served through our hosting provider and Cloudflare.
  • Donations. Optional support links (for example Ko-fi, and any other platforms linked from Meta:Donate) are operated by those services under their own privacy policies. We do not process card payments on the wiki itself.

What we do not do

We do not sell personal information. We do not use your account email for marketing lists. We do not ask for home addresses or government IDs as a condition of editing.

Children

The wiki is not directed at children under 13. Do not create an account if you are under 13.

Your choices

You can browse without an account. You can request account closure or correction by contacting the wiki through the contact path listed on Meta:About (or an equivalent public contact page). You can use browser controls to block or clear cookies; some features (including staying logged in) may stop working if cookies are disabled.

Changes

We may update this page. The current version is always the one published here. Last updated: 1 October 2026.
