The Leviathan, as theorized by Thomas Hobbes, is the authority which arises from the "battle of all against all" to sell every individual their security and safety in exchange for submission.
The Leviathan is an integral part of Haz al-Din's theory of Malign Sovereignty, which also draws on the dialectic between master and slave from G.F.W. Hegel's Phenomenology of Spirit.
