Object

The object, in Epistemology, is anything which is known to a subject which can be perceived, imagined or thought about. Often contrasted with 'Subject'.

A 'transcendental object' is some kind of object that goes beyond the bounds of experience, both experiential and rational knowledge, beyond the threshold of the conscious understanding-- relating to us only in some kind of unconscious sense.
